Biography

In 2020, Maha Ayesh joined the faculty of the Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law as Director of Experiential Learning and Assistant Professor of Law.  In this role, she is responsible for LMU Law's extensive Externship program, as well as developing the school's experiential learning course offerings and teaching courses such as Employment Law and Trial Advocacy.

Prior to joining LMU Law, Maha practiced for over a decade with the firm Jennifer Morton Law, PLLC, in Knoxville, TN, where she focused on plaintiff-side employment law and civil rights litigation. She has also served as judicial law clerk for the Honorable Joseph M. Tipton, Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. In 2011, Maha was awarded a U.S. Fulbright grant to work in Jordan on a project related to human trafficking, forced labor, and the rights of migrant domestic workers. Maha graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with Highest Honors and was named Outstanding Graduate of her class. She is admitted to practice law in Tennessee state courts, federal District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the TBA Labor and Employment Committee Executive Council.
