Biography

Julie Bowling is Assistant General Counsel and Manager - Payroll & Benefits for Farm Bureau Insurance - Tennessee. 

She graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a degree in Agriculture.  She received her J.D. with high honors from Emory University School of Law in 2006.  Julie practiced law in Atlanta, Georgia for over three years, focusing on tax controversy and litigation, before moving to Columbia, Tennessee in the spring of 2010.  Today, Julie enjoys working on the variety of legal issues that arise for Farm Bureau Insurance - Tennessee and the other Tennessee Farm Bureau service companies including employment law, tax issues, litigation, insurance law, and agricultural law.  Julie has made presentations for CPE or CLE credit for CPAs and attorneys on tax issues, insurance law, and agricultural law and is licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Georgia.

Julie her husband Matthew are active members of Graymere church of Christ in Columbia.  In her free time, Julie enjoys old house restoration projects, running, and spending time on her family's farm in Coffee County, Tennessee.
