Ty Howard is a partner in the White Collar Crime and Qui Tam Defense, Litigation, and Health Care groups of Bradley, Arant, Boult Cummings LLP. An accomplished trial attorney, Ty has over a decade's experience handling complex white-collar cases and high-profile investigations, both as a state and federal prosecutor and as a litigator at several major law firms. He focuses his current practice on white-collar and qui tam defense, healthcare-related matters, and complex civil litigation.
Ty joined the firm after serving for nearly five years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee. As a member of White Collar Crimes Division, Ty led investigations and prosecutions of some of Tennessee's largest fraud and money laundering cases. In that role, he has been lead counsel for the United States in multiple jury trials and argued successfully before the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals several times. He has worked closely with agents and civil regulators at, among others, the IRS, SEC, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Labor, Secret Service, FBI, and similar state agencies. He is a member of the Nashville Bar Association.
