Biography

Chad began his career with OPLA in 2017 as an Assistant Chief Counsel in OPLA New Orleans (Memphis). Since joining OPLA, Chad has litigated cases on both the detained and non-detained dockets. In May of 2023, Chad became a Deputy Chief Counsel in the Memphis sub-office. In this role, Chad leads an office of over 25 attorneys that appear in immigration court and provide legal counsel to various law enforcement agencies. Chad’s focus is on national security related issues and juveniles.

Prior to joining OPLA, Chad worked in private practice in Jackson, Tennessee, for nine years where he litigated civil cases in both state and federal court, including federal class actions. Chad also has experience in the banking industry.

Chad earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Food and Agribusiness Management from the University of Illinois and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the John Marshall Law School, Chicago.
