Tabatha Blackwell, Assistant Director of the Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission, is a Middle Tennessee native, who attended the University of Memphis and received a BA in 2004 and JD in 2007. She has worked in the regulatory arena throughout her career in government, first at the Tennessee Regulatory Authority (now the Tennessee Public Utility Commission) and then as Assistant Director of the Division of Charitable Solicitations within the Secretary of State’s office. She was named Assistant Director of the TABC in 2019. Tabatha lives outside of Nashville with a very good dog and a questionable cat.
