Biography

Russell Jackson represents management in employment-related matters on federal, state, and local levels. Russell's representation includes claims relating to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, restrictive covenants, wage and hour violations, unemployment compensation, and other aspects of the employee-employer relationship under federal and state employment laws including Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, NLRA and the OSH Act.
 
Russell also closely works with employers to ensure compliance with complex laws governing the employment relationship. Russell is known for his extreme responsiveness, aggressive strategy and creative problem-solving techniques when defending clients in lawsuits and in assisting clients resolve day-to-day employment issues.
 
Providing a national presence for his clients, Russell has defended lawsuits in a number of jurisdictions, including the Western and Middle Districts of Tennessee, the Northern District of Mississippi, the Eastern and Western Districts of Arkansas, the Northern and Middle Districts of Alabama, the Northern District of Georgia, the Western District of Michigan, the Western District of Missouri, the Eastern and Western Districts of North Carolina, the Eastern District of Texas and the District of Maryland. Russell has also successfully handled appeals before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States Supreme Court.
 
Russell has served on the board of nonprofits in Memphis, and is currently serving as the President of a 501(c)(3) organization.
