Biography

Ms. Anglin is an attorney with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation ("TDEC") in Knoxville. 
She received her undergraduate degree in environmental science from Georgia Tech in 1996 and her law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law with honors in 2009. During law school, she was a member of the Tennessee Law Review and the Environmental Law Moot Court team and completed the Business Transaction Concentration.

Prior to working at TDEC, she practiced at Paine | Tarwater | Bickers, LLP for 14 years atherine using he technical background to practice in civil litigation, focusing on products liability, construction defect, environmental, and complex insurance defense.
Prior to practicing law, Catherine worked as an environmental scientist for 13 years. She also spent six months overseeing a $20 Million levee rebuilding project south of New Orleans, Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina as the site's Quality Control Manager.
She is a Past Chair of the TBA Environmental Law Section and a former President of the East Tennessee Lawyers' Association for Women (ETLAW). She served as a Program Co-Chair for ETLAW for three years and as the ETLAW representative to the TBA Young Lawyers Division. Catherine also served as Chair of the KBA Barrister's School Outreach Committee for three years. Catherine lives in West Knoxville with her husband, Brian, and their fun daughter, Caroline.
