Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Michelle Gaskin earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science, cum laude, from Spelman College. She graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. Michelle Gaskin is an attorney with the Office of Legal Services, which is the legal department for the Tennessee General Assembly. Outside of her legal practice, Michelle currently serves as a board member for Nashville CARES and the YMCA Center for Civic Engagement. She is active with the Hendersonville Area (TN) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated and represented her chapter as a 2015 Athena Young Professional Nominee. Michelle is most proud of her work as a three-time volunteer to Port Au Prince, Haiti, which provides medical mission services internationally, to help improve the overall physical and spiritual health of local communities.
