Biography

Ronette Adams-Taylor is the Associate General Counsel/Director of Compliance & Risk Management at Meharry Medical College. In this role, Mrs. Adams-Taylor oversees the development, review, and implementation of the College’s compliance and risk management plans. This includes providing objective assessments of the College’s compliance to legislation governing academic medical centers, ensuring international programs are within adherence, and developing policies and procedures to ensure that the College’s practices remain observant of all pertinent local, state, and federal laws. She guides various pending litigation and works as a mediator when liaising with external stakeholders.

Before joining Meharry, Mrs. Adams-Taylor was a Legal Consultant for the New York City Civil Service Commission from 2008-2010. From 2003-2008 she was a Privacy/Legal Compliance Sr. Manager for Affiliated Computer Services, Inc., an HR/IT consulting firm in New Jersey.

She is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Metro Nashville Stormwater Management Commission, Chair of DEI on the Nashville Public Library Foundation, and Chair of the International Section of the Nashville Bar Association.

Mrs. Adams-Taylor received her B.S. from Alcorn State University, her M.S. and M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and Florida International University, respectively, and her J.D. from New York Law.
