Faculty Profile: Tatjana Paterno

Tatjana Paterno is an attorney at Bass, Berry & Sims PLC. Her practice has a transactional focus on mergers and acquisitions of private and public companies, debt and equity securities offerings, strategic relationships and other complex business transactions. She also advises private and public companies on a variety of corporate and securities matters, including corporate governance, securities law compliance and public company disclosure. Her transactional experience covers a broad range of industries, including healthcare, senior living, healthcare IT, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, retail, wholesale, information technology and biotechnology, among others. In addition to Tatjana’s transactional experience, she is actively involved in the ABA Mergers & Acquisitions Committee, including active editing of the model asset purchase agreement and serving on the membership committee. Tatjana is also a member of the working group that compiles the widely-recognized “Deal Points Study,” a study of negotiated M terms that is published by the ABA Mergers & Acquisitions Committee. Tatjana received her B.A. degree from the University of Texas at Dallas and a J.D. degree from the Southern Methodist University.
