Faculty Profile: Sam Wantland

Sam Wantland is the General Counsel and manager of the Special Assets Department for First Farmers and Merchants Bank headquartered in Columbia, Tennessee. First Farmers is an $1.4 billion community bank with administered trust assets of $5.4 billion as of December 31, 2019. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and the Nashville School of Law. 

He serves on the Tennessee Bar Association’s Attorney Well-Being Committee and as one of the new TBA Young Lawyers’ Division Co-Health and Wellness Coordinators. He is also a member of TBA Leadership Law Class of 2020.
