Biography

Bill Aiken is a member of the firm's Business Section and his practice includes commercial and business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and securities law and health care matters.
 
Bill represents clients from a variety of business sectors, and advises them on a number of business matters, including purchases and sales of stock and assets, business combinations, contract negotiations, organization and planning, corporate governance, equity and debt financing and physician/health care provider agreements.
 
He has received several corporate, acquisition and health care lawyer recognitions.
 
Bill is a member of the American Bar Association, Business Law Section, Committee on Negotiated Acquisitions and Health Care Law Section. Bill graduated from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in 1972, where he was a Morehead Scholar.  He received his J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School in 1975, where he was a Patrick Wilson Scholar and was student writing editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review.
 
He served as Law Clerk to Hon. Frank Gray, Jr., Chief Judge, U.S. District Court, Middle District of Tennessee.
