Lauren Jacques is a member of the firm's Health Care Practice Group, focusing her practice on assisting clients in the health care industry in a wide range of regulatory, operational and transactional matters. She deals with regulatory issues that arise incident to health care mergers and acquisitions for both publicly-traded and privately-held companies. More specifically, Lauren assists in advising hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers, home health agencies, hospices, physician practices and other providers and suppliers on a variety of both state and Federal regulatory issues, including compliance with Federal and state anti-kickback and self-referral laws, corporate practice of medicine issues, certificate of need and licensure matters. She also assists clients in drafting and negotiating contracts related to graduate medical education and clinical trials involving human subjects. In addition to regulatory work, Lauren assists and advises clients in mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures, in order to help clients in the health care industry negotiate and close complex business transactions.
