Faculty Profile: Michaela Poizner

Michaela Poizner is an attorney in the Nashville office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz.  She concentrates her practice at the intersection of health care transactions, regulatory compliance, and reimbursement.  She counsels clients, in the contexts of both general operations and corporate transactions regarding strategic opportunities, affiliation structures, and compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws.  She is Chair of the American Health Lawyers Association Enteprise Risk Management Task Force.  Michaela has authored numerous publications and presentations on physician reimbursement, health IT implmentation, and fraud and abuse compliance.
