Biography

Michele Marsicano is an Associate Attorney with Wiseman Ashworth Law Group and is involved in all aspects of litigation and trial preparation representing hospitals, physicians, and long-term care providers in all state and federal courts of record in Middle Tennessee. She has significant experience representing hospitals, mental health facilities, and nursing facilities in Probate, General Sessions and specialty mental health courts in conservatorships, expedited limited healthcare fiduciary matters, and commitment hearings. Michele also represents physicians in contested case hearings before the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners. Michele graduated from Davidson College and the University of Georgia School of Law. She was a member of the UGA Moot Court Team and competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Outside of class, Michele interned for the Office of General Counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Region 4 in Atlanta working with Medicare's recovery under the Medicare Secondary Payer Act and administrative hearings regarding provider enrollment in Medicare. She also interned for the Office of General Counsel for the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta working with the Public Health Service Act and federal employment law issues. Following graduation, Michele clerked for the Honorable Roger W. Dunaway and the Honorable Harold A. Hinesley, Toombs Judicial Circuit Superior Court of the 10th Judicial District of Georgia. Michele is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association Health Law Section and the Nashville Bar Association Probate Committee. She and her husband Chris live in the historic Germantown neighborhood of Nashville.
