Biography

Brenda has more than 15 years of experience in Tennessee politics and governmental affairs ranging from chief of staff and research analyst in the Tennessee senate to serving as legislative liaison in Governor Bredesen’s administration.  As vice president of CivicPoint – serving a range of non-profit and business clients in executive & legislative advocacy – she secured regulatory changes as well as a $15 million budget item for non-profit clients. Prior to working with clients in her own firm, she served as the public policy coordinator at the Tennessee Bar Association representing the the association before the General Assembly and other policy making bodies.

In serving clients in the public affairs arena, Brenda relies on her experiences and applies a comprehensive approach – meeting the client where s/he is and build out a strategy for success.

Brenda became the first woman to manage a successful state wide campaign with the successful retention election of three Tennessee Supreme Court Justices including the Keep Tennessee Courts Fair coordinated effort in 2014 and was nationally recognized for her efforts. She is the proud alumna of Maryville College, Nashville School of Law and the Women’s Campaign School of Yale University.

When not with her family she serves the community through her volunteer board service with the Sycamore Institute, Lawyers Association for Women’s Marion Griffith Chapter, Justice for Our Neighbors and Tennessee Lobbyist Association. She has been recognized for her leadership through the Young Leaders Council, Leadership Middle Tennessee, Nashville Emerging Leaders and New Leaders Council.
