Biography

Chris Bellamy focuses his practice on civil litigation, complex white collar criminal law, and other litigation matters. He has extensive experience in the prosecution and management of criminal case files, drafting pleadings and orders, and negotiating settlements.

Bellamy is an active member of the Nashville Bar Association, Nashville Bar Foundation Leadership Forum, and the Immediate Past President of the Napier-Looby Bar Association.

Prior to joining Neal & Harwell, Bellamy was the Assistant District Attorney with the Tennessee District Attorney General, 19th Judicial District where he represented the State of Tennessee at trial in Circuit, General Sessions, and Juvenile Court.

Bellamy also served in the United States Coast Guard for over ten years where some of his notable accomplishments include coordinating inter-agency security for the G-8 Summit; participating in the capture of modern day pirates in the Indian Ocean; leading the rescue of 156 Haitian migrants at sea; directing an orphanage reconstruction project in Eritea, Africa; and leading  minority recruitment efforts. During his service, Bellamy was awarded the National Defense Medal, 9/11 Medal, Presidential Unit Citation, and Humanitarian Service Award.
