Faculty Profile: Nancy Steer

Nancy R. Steer (Nan) is a ligation attorney at McWherter, Scott & Bobbitt, PLC, in Franklin, Tennessee. Her firm primarily handles first-party property insurance claims against insurers, and almost all of Nan’s practice is dedicated to legal writing within the firm. Nan is licensed in both Tennessee and Kentucky, and she is admitted to practice in all United States District Courts in Tennessee and Kentucky, as well as the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Nan is a Tennessee native who obtained her law degree from Belmont University College of Law in 2014.  She has worked as a civil litigation attorney in different capacities since then, and she prides herself in her ability to craft compelling, articulate, and (sometimes) complex legal arguments for her clients. Nan is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, and Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association.
