Amanda Garcia is the managing attorney of the Tennessee office of the Southern Environmental Law Center. Ms. Garcia and her team work across the state to protect Tennessee’s clean water, clean air and special places using a full range of regulatory, legal and communications tools. Prior to joining SELC, Ms. Garcia practiced environmental law in the public interest in San Francisco for several years. She has also taught federal courts and negotiation at Belmont University College of Law. Ms. Garcia clerked for the Honorable Alicemarie H. Stotler in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She graduated magna cum laude from NYU School of Law and with distinction from Stanford University.
