Biography

Raised in Toronto, Canada, Kate has lived in her adopted hometown of Memphis since 2014.  Prior to entering private practice, she worked for many years in the not-for-profit world, representing survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking.  She continues this work by serving on the Board of Directors of the Community of St Therese of Lisieux, which strives to offer a new way of life to women who have survived trauma, addiction, and prostitution.  She is a member of the Tennessee, Arkansas, and Memphis Bar Associations and their respective Family Law Sections. Kate graduated from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario, and Syracuse University College of Law, cum laude.  Kate and her husband Rich live in East Memphis with their dog, Oscar, and cat, Norman, and spends her free time playing tennis and golf.
