Biography

Robert Ryan is a Special Agent with the United States Department of Homeland Security; Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations.

His law enforcement career began as a Deputy Sheriff in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, in 1985.  In 1988, Mr. Ryan joined the United States Border Patrol and was assigned to the Miami Sector, Pembroke Pines Station, in Pembroke Pines, Florida.  In December 1999, Agent Ryan was promoted to a Criminal Investigator with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and transferred to the newly opened Knoxville Quick Response Team, in Knoxville, TN.

After September 11, 2003, INS Special Agents and U.S. Customs Service Special Agents merged into the United States Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations.
