Biography

Mr. Paul Kuhn, a Nashville resident, recently retired after a 42-year career as an SEC-registered investment adviser. A Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Vanderbilt University and former Navy officer, he received an MBA degree from Indiana University.

Mr. Kuhn is a long-time NORML supporter and activist. He ran the Illinois NORML program during the 1970s when he lived in Chicago and served on the NORML board during the 1980s. He rejoined the board in 1996 and also serves on the boards of Tennessee NORML and Tennesseans United.

His late wife, Jeanne, died in 1996 following a long fight with cancer, during which medical marijuana was the only substance that relieved the debilitating side effects of chemotherapy.  The Koozer-Kuhn Medical Cannabis Act introduced in the last two sessions of the Tennessee General Assembly was named in her honor as well as the Koozers, a family from East Tennessee who moved to Colorado to obtain cannabis for their child with seizures.
