Biography

Paul is the Local Legal Initiative (Tennessee) Staff Attorney for the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. Paul began his career in Florida with a litigation firm before opening his own firm in Michigan. Before joining the Reporters Committee, Paul practiced at Aaron & Sanders and Adams and Reese in Nashville. Paul has extensive litigation experience in both state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels. Paul is the Chair of the TBA's Communication Section's Executive Committee and the former co-chair of the ABA's Forum on Communications Law's Training & Development Committee. Paul was also an adjunct professor of Media Law at Middle Tennessee State University and is a frequent author and speaker on media law issues.
