Biography

Amber graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in psychology from Northeastern State University in 2011 and graduated with honors and a Certificate in Intellectual Property from Lewis and Clark Law School in May, 2015. Before graduation from law school, she moved to Tennessee to serve as the legal Associate for the Volunteer Lawyers and Professionals for the Arts program of the Arts and Business Council while completing her last semester of school. Amber transitioned into the role of Program Director in August of 2015 and was admitted to the Tennessee bar in November. In April of 2017, Amber accepted a position as the Director of Client Relations for Bank Director, which serves as an educational resource for the C-suite and directors of U.S. banks. Today, she serves as the Director of the FinXTech Connect program, which helps bank leaders connect with fintech companies.

Before moving to Tennessee, Amber helped to create a legal clinic for artists in Portland in conjunction with several colleagues and a group of professional attorneys. Oregon Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (OVLA) now serves creative clients and organizations at monthly legal clinics. Amber also served as the Volunteer Coordinator at Post5 Theatre, where she developed and launched the company's first formal volunteer program, and as an intern for the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art in 2013. All of these positions were held in conjunction with her work as a legal assistant at a boutique elder law and estate planning firm. Amber is currently working to found a theatre company in Nashville, and is excited to begin involvement with the Nashville Bar Association and community organizations as a new attorney.
