Ms. Christman is Senior Counsel with Eastman Chemical Company in the Health, Safety, Environment and Security (HSES) function of the Law Department. Eastman is a specialty chemical company that produces a broad range of advanced materials, additives and functional products, specialty chemicals, and fibers that are found in products people use every day. Within the Eastman Law Department, Ms. Christman has global responsibility for various environmental and regulatory matters for the company and its subsidiaries and functions as an HSES corporate liaison to manufacturing sites around the globe. Ms. Christman also advises the company on the environmental and other regulatory aspects of various mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Eastman in 2013, Ms. Christman was in private practice for over fifteen years in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania specializing in environmental law and regulatory matters and serving manufacturing and commercial clients around the country and across a variety of industry groups.
Ms. Christman earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from Ohio University, graduating summa cum laude, and her Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School.
Ms. Christman is a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Westmoreland County Bar Association, has written numerous newsletters and articles focusing on state and federal regulatory developments, and has recently prepared and presented seminars about regulatory and compliance issues for the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Institute.
