Biography

Aurelia V. McBride concentrates her practice in the area of litigation. She received her J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law in 2015. While there, she worked as a Student Attorney in the University of Memphis Child and Family Litigation Clinic, and served as Guardian ad Litem in dependency and neglect cases in the Juvenile Court. Aurelia interned at the Shelby County District Attorney General’s office and externed in the Juvenile Court division. She also served as a judicial extern for Judge Camille McMullen at the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals, and clerked for the Office of the General Counsel of the Tennessee Board of Regents, where she researched the Violence Against Women Act and drafted institution wide compliance policy.

After graduating from law school, Aurelia served as a Title IV-D attorney at Shelby County Child Support Services/MAXIMUS and Associate General Counsel at the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services.

Most recently, Aurelia worked in the area of personal injury and bankruptcy associated with personal injury cases. She also has experience in social security disability appeals and auto accident claims.
