Faculty Profile: Taylor Sample

Taylor Sample is an associate in the Nashville office of Bass, Berry & Sims. As a member of the firm’s Healthcare Fraud Task Force, Taylor represents a variety of healthcare clients in government enforcement actions, investigations and related litigation involving the False Claims Act, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, including investigations by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG), and other federal and state enforcement agencies.  Taylor also routinely assists clients with internal compliance assessments and internal investigations regarding compliance issues.  As a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) Taylor also advises healthcare clients in responding to data security incidents, including conducting internal investigations, fulfilling federal and state breach notification requirements, and responding to government enforcement inquiries and related litigation.  Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims, Taylor served as a law clerk to the Honorable Sarah Evans Barker of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.
