Shelley Ames is the Executive Director of the Salvus Center, Inc., a faith-based non-profit that serves the working uninsured in Sumner County, Tennessee.
Ames grew up in New Mexico and attended the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She and her family moved to Hendersonville, TN over 30 years ago.
Following an 18 year career at TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center, Ames was one of the first to be hired by the Salvus Board of Directors. It was her passion for patient advocacy that led her to Salvus. Salvus has just celebrated its 10th anniversary. The clinic provides medical and dental care to the working uninsured.
