Hospitals, health systems and other healthcare providers turn to Kaitlyn Dunn for assistance and practical advice on critical operational matters involving facility licensing, physician employment, contractual arrangements and patient privacy. She also counsels providers on compliance issues related to Medicare and Medicaid fraud and abuse, federal and state anti-kickback statutes and the federal Stark Law.
Prior to joining Waller, Kaitlyn served as Associate Counsel in the Office of Counsel to the Inspector General for the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. In this role she worked with the U.S. Department of Justice to investigate, litigate and resolve dozens of civil False Claims Act cases, including through negotiation of Corporate Integrity Agreements (CIAs) and voluntary exclusion from participation in federal healthcare programs. Additionally she defended multiple program exclusions, resolved numerous cases filed under the OIG’s Provider Self-Disclosure Protocol, and monitored complex CIAs involving hospitals and other providers.
