Biography

Evan Spann is the Voluntary and Brownfield Program Coordinator for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation where he provides technical assistance to communities, property owners, consultants and developers to assist in the re-use and revitalization of brownfields across Tennessee. The State’s voluntary program is catalyst for Brownfield redevelopment; transforming blighted properties, such as abandoned gas stations, dry cleaners or former industrial facilities into productive commercial and/or residential reuses, vibrant recreational areas, or other needed amenities. Evan has 20 years’ experience in the private and public sectors and has worked with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation for the past 13 years. Evan is a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Master’s in Geological Sciences.
