Katie Chiles Ottenweller is a staff attorney with the Southern Environmental Law Center, where she heads up their regional Solar Initiative. This initiative was launched to help the Southeast reap the many benefits of solar power, by removing legal and policy barriers to affordable, clean solar energy in Virginia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. Based in Atlanta, she heads up a team of ten attorneys working on clean energy policy throughout the Southeast. Katie is originally from Tallahassee, Florida, and is a graduate of the University of Georgia and Columbia University School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania and Georgia.
