Faculty Profile: Christopher Climo

Chris Climo counsels clients on corporate and securities issues including mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and securities regulations matters and filings.

Chris previously served as an associate in the Compliance & Government Investigations Practice at Bass, Berry & Sims from 2017-2020. During that time, he successfully defended clients against government investigations and criminal prosecutions. Before rejoining the firm in 2021, Chris advised clients on political law matters – including PAC formation, contribution vetting, and relevant regulatory disclosures – at another major law firm in Washington, D.C.

After graduating law school, Chris served as a law clerk to Judge Gilbert S. Merritt, Jr. of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Prior to law school, Chris served as a management consultant to healthcare clients across the country, ranging from large academic medical centers to small community hospitals.
