Biography

Preston Battle is an associate in Baker Donelson’s Memphis office. Preston advises U.S. and non-U.S. businesses and individuals in complex commercial disputes across a variety of industries and practice areas. He maintains an active appellate practice and has successfully briefed and argued appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the Tennessee Court of Appeals, and he has briefed before the U.S. Supreme Court, Tennessee Supreme Court, and the Fourth Circuit. He also has experience representing senior executives and corporations involved in regulatory and criminal enforcement actions involving the Department of Justice, the SEC, and the FINRA. Preston was the first judicial law clerk of both the Hon. Thomas L. Parker, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee, and the Hon. Felicia Corbin Johnson, Shelby County Circuit Court. He received his J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Tennessee. In his free time, Preston enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and two small children and debating people about which restaurant has the best hot wings in Memphis.
