Biography

Harold E. Rushton is a highly strategic  attorney who provides caring but zealous representation for his clients. He focuses on construction litigation, contract disputes, family law, orders of protection, divorce, child custody and business matters.

Harold was a construction General Contractor for fourteen years prior to starting his legal career as an attorney in the Nashville area.  During that time, he was licensed as a Tennessee General Contractor for ten years.  Obviously, that experience in contracting has assisted Harold in becoming an outstanding construction attorney for both Plaintiffs that have suffered loss at the hands of unscrupulous contractors and in the defense of reputable businesses in the Nashville and surrounding areas. 

Harold’s experience as a construction attorney includes all phases of litigation from inception of the case, through motion practice, mediation, trial and the appellate process.  So, when you choose us to represent you in a construction related matter, you can feel confident that you are retaining an experienced attorney with vast knowledge of the construction industry and the legal process.

Harold also has a vast amount of experience in contract and business matters, as well as, divorce and child custody issues. He has served as a trial attorney in all of the state courts including General Sessions, Circuit, Chancery and the Tennessee Court of Appeals. Harold is also admitted to practice in the Federal Courts including the United States District Court and United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Middle District of Tennessee. He has litigated complex cases in various courts throughout southern and middle Tennessee, which spans no less than fourteen counties. 

He also has experience as an appellate attorney which should give you confidence that if your case requires an appeal, Harold can help.  This experience is invaluable and demonstrates the level of diverse legal knowledge Harold can offer when representing you in a complex legal matter. 

Harold received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law and is licensed to practice in all Tennessee state courts and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.  He represents clients in Nashville, Davidson County and the surrounding counties.
