Natalie Corwin moved from Denver to Nashville, TN more than 20 years ago to pursue a career in music and acting, but when she adopted a chow-mix from a shelter, her life was quickly changed. Inspired by the love and companionship of her new friend, Sophie, Natalie started attending animal welfare conferences and volunteering. She eventually began a career in animal care. In 2011 she co-founded Pet Community Center, which offers low-cost and no-cost spay/neuter and veterinary services. Pet Community Center's highly collaborative approach to serving pets and people has significantly lowered pet homelessness in Nashville and increased access to pet services for underserved pets and people. For fun Natalie occasionally appears on-screen as an actor, most recently as an extra on the TV show, The Walking Dead. In 2016 the Nashville Business Journal named Natalie one of Nashville's 40 under 40 and in 2012 she received the Humane Hero award from Nashville Paw Magazine. Natalie and her husband, Paul Holt, share a home with two dogs and six cats.
