Biography

Dave Pomeroy has played bass on hundreds of albums with artists including Emmylou Harris, Earl Scruggs, Alison Krauss, Peter Frampton, and Trisha Yearwood, and has performed in concert with Don Williams, Steve Winwood, Mose Allison, Willie Nelson, John Fogerty, and many others. His songs have been recorded by Chet Atkins, The Sweethearts of the Rodeo and Don Williams, and he has released numerous solo and band projects on his label, Earwave Music. His latest album on Earwave is his third all bass and voice solo CD, “Angel in the Ashes,” released in April 2017 to rave reviews.

 

A longtime activist for musicians, Dave was elected President of Nashville’s AFM Local 257 in 2008, and was re-elected unanimously in 2011, 2014 and 2017. In 2010 he was elected to the International Executive Board of the American Federation of Musicians and was re-elected in 2013, and 2016. His charitable work includes raising more than $300,000 for the Room In The Inn homeless program with his annual “Nashville Unlimited Christmas” concerts at Christ Church Cathedral. www.davepomeroy.com
