Gail Childress, CPA is a senior tax professional with the Nashville entertainment business management firm of Flood, Bumstead, McCready, and McCarthy (known as FBMM). FBMM provides business and financial management to clients in the entertainment industry in all genres of music and has the honor of representing some of the biggest names in the music industry. Gail is a native Nashvillian who began her career as a staff accountant with an independent record label and worked her way up to controller for U.S. operations of the Dick James Music Group, a British music publishing company with an office on Music Row. When the company moved the offices to Los Angeles, Gail switched to public accounting for a few years in Nashville until she returned to the music industry in 2011. Since that time, she has worked with several of the largest entertainment business management firms in Nashville, providing tax and accounting services to musical performers, sports figures, movie, television, and stage actors as well as songwriters, producers, and publishers.
Gail is a member of the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, The Recording Academy (The Grammys), and The Other Nashville Society. She is a former board member of SOURCE and is a current board member of two 501(c)(3) organizations, Stonestreet Housing Foundation and Park Avenue Career Services. She currently lives in the Nashville suburb of Donelson with Gritz, the Golden Retriever and spends her free time enjoying live music, cooking, and visiting her daughter who lives on the beach in Florida.
