Lauren Sherwood is a Patent Attorney working remotely in Knoxville for a patent counseling and prosecution law firm located in Washington, D.C. Lauren received her license to practice in Tennessee in 2018 and has been licensed to practice before the USPTO since 2013. She has focused her practice on patent prosecution in software, communications, and biotechnology areas.
Prior to and while attending law school at the University of Tennessee College of Law, Lauren prepared and prosecuted patent applications in a wide variety of technology areas as a Patent Agent for a virtual law firm. Her technical background is in chemistry, however the bulk of Lauren's experience over the past six years have been in computer-related technologies. Lauren received a B.S. in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry along with a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Florida in 2012.
Outside of her practice, Lauren enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams, sipping on local craft brews with her husband, and snuggling with her dog, Apollo.
