Biography

Deborah K. Walker was named Director of the Nashville Area Office of the U. S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in January 2018.  As Director, she is responsible for enforcement of the major laws against employment discrimination in the Tennessee counties east of the Tennessee river and manages the day to day operations of the office and its staff.     Ms. Walker began her federal career in 1990 with the Internal Revenue Service and joined EEOC in 1993 as a Federal Investigator, later serving as a Charge Intake Supervisor.  Prior to her promotion to Director, she served as an Enforcement Supervisor for fifteen years.
