Faculty Profile: Colin Rushing

Colin Rushing is a lawyer and strategist focused on music rights, collective management organizations, and business development.  Colin was formerly the Chief Legal Officer at SoundExchange, where he oversaw SoundExchange’s participation in a number of rate settings, developed and managed the company’s litigation and regulatory strategy, and supervised the company’s day to day legal operations.  Before SoundExchange, Colin was an attorney at WilmerHale, where he focused on intellectual property and media law.  He attended the University of Virginia School of Law and James Madison University and clerked for the Honorable T.S. Ellis III on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
