Faculty Profile: ROBERT MITCHELL

Robert Mitchell is a partner with the law firm of Cunningham Bounds in Mobile, Alabama.   Robert graduated from the University of Virginia in 2002.  He continued his studies at the University of Alabama School of Law where he earned his law degree, magna cum laude.  While in law school, Robert was inducted into the Order of the Coif, and served as a senior editor of the Alabama Law Review.

Robert has an unwavering passion for representing the families of men and women who have been seriously injured or killed due to the wrongdoing of others.  He has successfully represented victims of industrial accidents, 18-wheeler crashes, car crashes, product failures, unsafe premises, prescription errors and medical negligence. By aggressively preparing cases for trial, Robert has obtained numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements for his clients – including recent jury verdicts of $35M, $14.8M, $6.5M, $3M and $2M. 

Robert is board-certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the American Board of Trial Advocacy. He has also been elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Robert has been listed in Best Lawyers of America® for eight consecutive years. He is also listed in Benchmark Plaintiff’s ranking of Alabama attorneys as a “Future Star.” Robert has been repeatedly recognized by Super Lawyers as one of Alabama’s top attorneys.  He is also rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell.
