Biography

Jay Forester is a Class, Collective, and Mass Action lawyer and founding partner at Forester Haynie PLLC. Mr. Forester also manages the firm’s wage & hour practice, a subject matter he has regularly presented on and published on, including for the American Bar Association. In addition to wage and mass torts matters, Mr. Forester has also represented individuals in personal injury lawsuits, deceptive trade practice cases, breach of contract disputes, Title VII discrimination and harassment matters, and other retaliation claims.

Prior to receiving his JD from Southern Methodist University, Mr. Forester received a BA from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and MA from the George Washington University. Mr. Forester is a member of the State Bar of Texas and has been admitted to practice in numerous federal courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court.

Outside of work, Jay is a dedicated public servant. He serves on numerous boards including for the American Bar Association where he is currently serving a two-year term as the ABA Young Lawyer Division’s Representative from North/West Texas. Mr. Forester has previously served as the Chair of the Individual Rights and Responsibilities section of the State Bar of Texas, is a member of the Texas Bar College, and is a Fellow for numerous bar foundations. Outside of the legal profession, Jay serves as a board member and dedicated volunteer for Mosaic Family Services.
