Biography

Mr. Norwood has over thirty years of experience representing individuals in cases involving race, sex, age, national origin, religious or disability discrimination; retaliatory discharge for engaging in protected activities such as whistle blowing, making a workers' compensation claim, or protesting unlawful discrimination; and breach of contract.
  • Recognized as outstanding in his field by being listed for the past sixteen years in Best Lawyers in America in the field of labor and employment law.
  • Featured on the cover of Memphis Magazine as the Giant Killer" for his many successes in suing government and discriminating employers.
  • Has provided counsel and advice to numerous executives and professionals on employment contracts, non-competition agreements, and the negotiation of better separation/severance pay agreements.
  • Started his legal career with a well-known management labor law firm before starting his own firm in 1980 exclusively representing employees and labor organizations.
