Faculty Profile: Robert Young

Bobby Young has served for more than a decade in many capacities within the Metro Nashville Police Department, including patrol, flex, crime suppression unit, countywide narcotics, and the 20th Drug Task Force. He has been awarded dozens of accommodations and awards for his dedication to serve the community and was the lead Agent on the largest wiretap case and cocaine haul in Nashville history. He estimates that he has completed hundreds of forfeitures to include cars, trucks, trailers, boats, ATV’s, cash, and even houses. This amounts to roughly $5 million in US Currency and assets taken directly from large drug trafficking organization in an effort to disrupt the flow of narcotics into Nashville Music City. Young later founded Covert Results, a private investigations, security, and training firm operating in Middle Tennessee. He has been certified in state and federal courts as an expert in narcotics, and recently published his second book, The Good Line, which details his efforts as a detective on Nashville’s Drug Task Force.
