Biography

John R. Cheadle, Jr. graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois with a BA in 1975 and earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University Law School in Nashville, Tennessee in 1978. He is AV-Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell's peer evaluation service and has an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration. He has had comprehensive experience in representing business creditors in state and bankruptcy court. As a frequent lecturer in enforcing creditors' rights, John Cheadle's practice emphasizes collection law, lender representation, receiverships, corporate defense and aviation law. John R. Cheadle, Jr. is one of the founding members of the Tennessee Supreme Court Historical Society.
