Biography

Douglas has had a passion for law as long as he can remember, and in 1973, he began law school to turn his passion into a career. He fell in love with the immigration law practice in 1975 when he started working at the Cincinnati Bar Association. As a general practitioner, Douglas worked on criminal, personal injury, and other various types of Federal and State cases. His success within the organization quickly led him to the role of Head of Attorney Referrals.

A year later, after taking several immigration cases in the Tri-State area, he was appointed to a high-profile case, representing Iranian immigrants who were arrested locally. The case attracted substantial media attention, and after considerable amounts of time and research, Douglas won the case.

One year later, he met Bill Bartlett, a fellow Chase College of Law graduate. Together they with two other Chase graduates decided to create Bartlett & Weigle Co., L.P.A.
