Biography

Mary Lindsey received her Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Bethel University in 2017 and a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1992.  Mary did an internship in the probation department of the Knox County Juvenile Court in 1992, as part of her undergraduate course work.  She became employed by the court in 1993.  She worked ten years as a probation officer (1993 -2003).  For the next ten years, she was the Pretrial Diversion Coordinator (2003-2013).  During which time she was also promoted to Intake Supervisor. (2008 – present).  She was promoted to Assistant Court Director in 2012-2013.  She became the Juvenile Recovery Court Program Administrator from 2012-2020. She was promoted to Court Director in 2013.

Mary has been a member of the Tennessee Juvenile Court Service Association (TJCSA) for twenty-eight years.  She has served in many capacities with TJCSA.  She was the Program Co-chair 1999, Program Chair 2003, Vice-President 2007, President 2008, Scholarship Committee Chair 2012-2013, 2017- present, Exhibitor Chair 2013, and Board of Trustees Chair 2012-present.
