Scott White is the Director of Compliance for Vanderbilt University Athletics. In his current role, Scott works closely with coaches, student-athletes, and administrators to ensure compliance with NCAA rules, institutional policy, and state law. Scott has worked in Division I athletics for more than six years and advises high profile student-athletes and programs on wide variety of topics, including name, image, and likeness. Scott is a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC) and serves as a communications liaison for the association. Prior to joining Vanderbilt, Scott worked at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law. During his time as a law student, Scott interned with Tennessee’s Athletics Compliance staff and authored a case note selected for publication in Tennessee Law Review.
