Biography

Neerja Razdan relies on her in-house experience to provide regulatory, compliance and transactional support to hospitals and health systems and various other healthcare providers. She counsels on issues related to the Anti-Kickback Statute, physician self-referrals (Stark Law), healthcare marketing rules, corporate compliance, and other related matters. In addition, she provides advice on implementing policies and procedures in connection with compliance with Corporate Integrity Agreements.

Neerja also works with hospitals and academic medical centers to draft, review and participate in the structuring of clinical trial agreements and related collaboration agreements. She has experience negotiating academic affiliation agreements as well as reviewing policies and procedures for compliance with the ACGME Common Program Residency Requirements. She drafts, negotiates and reviews physician contracts related to research and oversight of residents and medical students.

Prior to joining Bass, Berry & Sims Neerja served as associate counsel at two large medical systems, each with an academic and research component. In each of these roles, she provided legal counsel to help these entities stay compliant with the ever-changing regulatory landscape within the healthcare industry.
