Biography

Bill Colvin received his undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University.  After serving in the U. S. Navy for three years, he attended Cumberland School of Law, graduating with honors.  He began his law practice in Chattanooga in 1979. While he has significant experience in mass-tort cases, he has been involved in construction litigation his entire career, representing parties in all aspects of development and construction.  He is an original member of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel and the Brock-Cooper American Inn of Court.  He has served as president of the Brock-Cooper Inn of Court and the Chattanooga Bar Association. He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for Construction Litigation since 2017 and for Insurance Litigation since 2018.
